Starting their career designing and realising furniture for prestigious nursery furniture companies, including Dragons of Walton street Denman+Gould was established by founders Eleanor Goulding and Russell Denman to support a creative practice in visual art, contemporary craft, furniture and design.
Their studio is housed in a beautiful converted church in the Dorset countryside which is also home to their new series of talks, lectures, screenings and live performances, 'Other Side'.
Eleanor works as a multi disciplinary artist using textiles, photography moving image and painting.
She collaborates with her partner Russell Denman in their design practice to realise a range of commissions locally and Internationally.
She also works as an event programmer in Dorset and Somerset.
With wood as his visual language, Russell is a master cabinet maker. His career started in cabinet making by designing and realising a collection of nursery furniture for the prestigious Dragons of Walton street, who furnished the royal nurseries.
His work is highly skilled and is informed by form through function, intricate detail and natural materials.
He also works as a sculptor.
