True North

A hand-printed cyanotype richly toned with a rosemary botanical toner, presented in a deep midnight-blue circular frame.

True North was inspired by our time working along the River Severn, where sailors navigated its tides with extraordinary skill, guided by the subtle rhythms of nature and the cycles of the sea. The hand-drawn symbols reference traditional nautical navigation marks, tools of orientation and finding one’s way.

Each original cyanotype is hand-printed and toned using a botanical rosemary solution on 300gsm watercolour paper, resulting in a luminous, midnight-blue finish that subtly evokes the night sky.

Circular Frame

We are delighted to launch our special circular frame, developed and handcrafted in our Dorset workshop using profiles unique to this work.

Our sweet chestnut hardwood frame is stained with our oak gall ink and painted with Prussian Blue milk paint, creating a deep, timeless blue finish.

Truly original and handcrafted.
